Born and raised in Dallas, Texas, Austin Larner
developed a life-long fascination with gems, minerals, and fossils.
The collecting of specimens became an all consuming hobby. His greatest
enjoyment came from exploring and inspecting the earthly universe
and everything in it. Austin followed his passion and graduated
from the University of Texas with a Degree in Geological Sciences.
After working eight years in Texas, he moved to Costa Rica.
In Costa Rica he met Capt. Jerry Kemler and assisted him in managing
Delfin Amor Ecolodge. He was born with a keen eye and soon became
deeply involved in videography, both above and below the water.
He began shooting documentaries and refined his skills during the
time he worked in the Rainforest of Drake Bay. After three years
he returned to the states and began mastering the skills of Organic
Farming and Marketing in Boulder, Colorado.
When Capt Kemler asked if he would travel to San Salvador and film
a documentary on the recovery of the Treasure of Watlin's Island,
he eagerly agreed. In his own words: "This opportunity to film,
record, and produce the documentary of a history making expedition
is extremely rare and I am dedicated to making it something we can
all be proud of." Everything happens for a reason! Austin brings
not only his essential skills to the OCS team but also his indefatigable
energy and good nature.
